The House cultivars

Twelve cultivars have been harvested on Canabec Ar Leur. Four are on sale.

This page sells nothing. It has no prices, no buttons, no product pages. It says what grows here.

Where the genetics come from

Two origins, and they are not obtained in the same way.

Limited-release selections. Six cultivars come from Izno Farm — Legendary Skunk, OGZ, NorthWest, Pink Garlic CBG, Sour Blueberry Kush, and Château Izno, a Tarmac × Abacus cross — and two from Can High Kick It: Lulu La Nantaise and CHKI Selection. These genetics cannot be bought from a catalog; they are passed on to a small circle of growers.

Catalog selections, bought and then produced on the farm. Rocket Sauce, Rainbow Sherbet, Sapphire Kush and Blue Meringue are four High Alpine Genetics selections.

The difference is not a matter of prestige; it is a matter of access. Selecting means picking out one individual in a population and fixing it — it takes many breeding cycles and a good eye, and it has an author. That is true of the three breeders named here: none of these genetics was selected in Trémargat. The selections of Izno Farm and Can High Kick It do not circulate: they are passed on from hand to hand. Those of High Alpine Genetics can be bought — anyone can order them, and in every case the “Origin” column carries the name of the breeder who made the selection.

Between the seed and the flower, there is in every case a plot, a growing method and a season — Canabec Ar Leur and Harvest, drying, curing.

The four ranges

Every batch carries a range. It is not a taste descriptor — the House does not describe its flowers. It is the meeting of two facts already stated above: how the genetics were obtained, and under which growing method the plant grew.

The order of the ranges is reflected in the price. It is justified by access to the genetics and by the work the growing method demands — never by a promise about the flower.
